I first picked up a crochet hook in high school, sitting beside my grandma, who patiently taught me every stitch I know. When she passed away, I couldn't bring myself to crochet without her, so I didn't. For years.Then in 2023, my son surprised me with a crochet kit. One hook, a ball of yarn, and a whole lot of "will I remember how" later...the magic came right back. I started with a bear for each of my kids. Then another. And another. Before I knew it, there were bears everywhere! Soft, snuggly, and full of love.I quickly realized every little one needs a snuggly bear to cuddle up with and keep them warm. Most of all, to be their very first friend!That's how Snuggly Buggly came to be.Today, I crochet bears to spread snuggles and smiles everywhere! One of the greatest joys of Snuggly Buggly is being able to place bears into the hands of children in hospitals, helping make a place that feels far from home just a little more snuggly, comforting, and filled with love.Every bear purchased helps make that possible. The bears I create for families help me purchase supplies and keep Snuggly Buggly going, allowing me to continue sharing handmade bears with children in hospitals.Every stitch is made with love, every bear has a purpose, and every cuddle is a reminder that someone cares.
